Vanguard Properties at the launch of the new ‘look’ for the Alentejo and Ribatejo tourist board

The tourist board representing Portugal’s Alentejo and Ribatejo regions, Turismo do Alentejo and Ribatejo, launched its new campaign for the domestic market - ‘There’s a Place’ - to accompany a new website and marketing materials. The presentation event involved the presence of the Secretary of State for Tourism, Rita Marques and the Mayor of Grândola Town Council, António Figueira Mendes, along with the representatives of other sector entities.

In the afternoon, the secretary of state, the mayor and the council’s tourism officer, as well as other authorities from the sector, met with the developers of tourism projects being developed in the district. 

Vanguard Properties, represented by its CEO, José Cardoso Botelho and Paulo Duarte Vicente, Project Manager for the Comporta Lands, had an opportunity to briefly outline their investment project and again reiterate their total interest in developing a sustainable and inclusive high-quality project.

The occasion also served to remind the authorities present of the need to implement, in close cooperation with the government, local councils and developers, the investment measures that would contribute to the development of tourism in the region, namely improving health and civil protection infrastructures, road access and, lastly, stressing the importance of optimising the use of Beja airport to that end. 

During the event, Mayor Figueira Mendes asked the secretary of state to convey these concerns to the relevant government authorities.
