Muda Reserve to include chapel donated by Vanguard Properties

As part of its social responsibility and community integration policy, Vanguard Properties is taking the unusual step for the real estate development area by deciding to include a chapel in the Muda Reserve detailed plan. 

Donated for the use of the local population, visitors and future residents, the chapel represents an investment of 750,000 euros including the plot of land, infrastructure, construction and interiors.

Designed with simple, clean and minimalist lines with the emphasis on light, colour and local materials, the chapel by architects Saraiva & Associates, the atelier behind the other properties in first project of Vanguard Properties at Comporta, will cover a 112m2 area in the centre of the future Muda village.  

In a rectangular shape, with a cut extending the entire building through which light floods in, the predominant colour is white which emphasises the pine wood furnishings and unique decorative elements - a panel decorated with geometric motifs in corten steel on the exterior and a panel in Portuguese azulejo tiles that cover the ceiling.

Construction work should begin next year with completion slated for 2022.
