Vanguard Properties becomes the new official sponsor of Grândola hockey club

Vanguard Properties is now the official sponsor of the Hóquei Clube Patinagem de Grândola (Grândola Roller Hockey Club).

Valid until the 2023/2024 season, this sponsorship contract provides Grândola hockey with the resources to achieve greater success in Portuguese professional hockey. Despite being an amateur club, Grândola secured promotion to the second tier at the end of the 2022/2023 season and is currently competing in the Campeonato Nacional da Segunda Divisão – Zona Sul (National Championship Second Division - South Zone).

This sponsorship agreement forms part of Vanguard’s partnership strategy to develop and improve living conditions on the Alentejo coast, particularly in the Grândola and Alcácer do Sal municipalities, where the company is promoting the Terras da Comporta and Muda projects.

For Vanguard Properties, promoting sport helps combat seasonality in the region, using local investment in sports infrastructures to bring more people to Grândola and Alcácer do Sal throughout the year, thus contributing to their economic and social development.

In terms of social issues, Vanguard Properties has also announced that it will build affordable housing for the workers employed on its projects, which include cultural spaces, schools (in partnership with the Brave Generation Academy), and a neighbourhood health unit with universal access (in partnership with CUF). In Muda, Vanguard will build a church designed by the architect Francis Keré, who won the prestigious Pritzker Prize in 2022.
