Vanguard Stars received by the Mayor of Seville

Vanguard Stars, a programme that aims to encourage tennis playing among younger age groups, by organising various national and international competitions, was received on Friday, 14 October, by the Mayor of Seville, Antonio Muñoz Martínez. 

This meeting, which also involved Seville’s Director of Sport and several journalists, was organised to launch the third edition of Vanguard Stars Seville 2022, as well as presenting the tennis programme supported by Vanguard Properties and which is already a  benchmark, not just at a national level, but also at an international one as was witnessed in ‘Ayuntamiento’ the Spanish city in Andalucía.

During the presentation, José Cardoso Botelho, CEO of Vanguard Properties, and Tatyana Bezukladnikova, Managing Director of Vanguard Stars, had the opportunity to present the company and why it was investing in tennis, as well as some details from this year’s Seville edition programme, pointing out that this year has attracted another record number of participants: 200 kids of which 75 are Portuguese. It is also important to add that this year is seeing the highest number of female subscriptions (78) and more than 2,000 children for this year’s tour.  

After this Seville stage, the ‘Masters’ will be fought out in Lisbon with the 40 best tennis players of the year and with the renowned tennis coach Toni Nadal as the main special guest. 

For Tatyana Bezukladnikova, Managing Director of Vanguard Stars, “In our 5th anniversary year, we are immensely proud of having shared our experience and programme with the ‘Alcaide’ (Mayor) and the sports director of Seville City Council.   The attendance of countless Spanish journalists has only heightened interest in the event, not just in Portugal, but also overseas”.  “The remarkable increase in the number of people we have seen signing up year-on-year and also feeling this support from international municipalities makes us want to work even harder”, he added, rounding off with a criticism:    “Sadly, we have felt the greatest support from overseas municipal councils rather than national ones, but we're not going to rest on our laurels!”.
